Can you build a curbless (no-step) shower in a Florida slab home?
Yes, even on a slab. We either recess the shower floor, build up the surrounding bathroom floor, or use a low-profile linear drain system. We'll walk through the right option for your home during the consultation.
How long does walk-in shower installation take?
Most installations are 8–14 working days, including demo, waterproofing, tile, glass and finish. Custom tile patterns or shipped-in glass can add a few days.
What's the best tile for a walk-in shower in South Florida?
Large-format porcelain is our most-recommended choice, fewer grout lines, easy to clean, and stands up to Florida humidity. Marble and natural stone are stunning for master baths if you're willing to seal them periodically.
Do I need to use frameless glass?
No, semi-frameless and framed enclosures are still options, especially if budget matters. That said, 3/8" frameless glass is what most clients pick because it looks clean, opens the room up visually, and ages well.
Do you build benches, niches and grab-bar blocking?
Yes, all of the above. Tile benches, recessed niches and solid wood blocking for grab bars are part of our standard scope when there's room for them.
Do I need a permit?
If plumbing or electrical is being moved or added, yes, Broward County and most cities require it. We pull and manage permits and inspections whenever they're required.
