Kitchens, the same way we do bathrooms
Bathrooms are most of my calendar, and a good share of my bathroom customers ask me back for the kitchen.
It's the same approach: one visit, one written fixed price with every line on it, one crew from demo to the last cabinet pull, and me on the job.
- Demo and haul-away of the old cabinets, counters and floor
- New cabinets, stock or semi-custom, set level and scribed to the walls
- Quartz, granite or butcher-block counters, templated after the cabinets are in
- A tile backsplash, subway to large-format
- Floor tile or plank, run under the cabinets or up to them
- Sink and faucet swaps on the existing lines; a licensed electrician for every light, switch and outlet, and a licensed plumber for anything moved
- Sink, faucet and disposal on the existing lines; a licensed plumber if anything moves
- Paint, trim and hardware
The details
What a kitchen remodel can include:
Refresh, replace, or gut
Three sizes of kitchen job, and the budget usually picks.
- Refresh: keep the cabinets, add a new counter, backsplash, sink, faucet, lighting and paint. The biggest look change per dollar.
What moves the number
- Cabinets. Stock boxes to semi-custom is the widest price swing in the kitchen.
- Counters. Quartz by the slab, with the seams planned around the sink.
- Appliances. Yours to buy; I'll plan the openings to the spec sheets and install them.
- Floors. Running tile under the cabinets costs more now and saves a headache later.

South Florida kitchens
Most Broward kitchens I open were built between the 1960s and 2000 on a slab, with the original cabinets still screwed to the wall.
Two things I check before the quote: whether the floor tile runs under the cabinets, which changes the demo, and whether the range hood vents outside or just into the cabinet above it.
- Slab floors mean plumbing moves are cut into concrete; the plumber prices that, not me.
- Humidity: solid-wood doors can move; a good semi-custom box with a painted finish holds up well here.
- Condos: the association's rules on insurance, elevator time and work hours are built into the schedule.
- Hurricane season: I don't start a full gut in the week a storm is on the map.
The guarantee, and what to expect
One year on our work, the Done Right Promise.
I'll give you a written schedule before we start and a real timeline for your kitchen on the quote, not a number off a website. While we're there:
- A temporary sink setup when the plumbing allows, so you're not without water
- Dust walls up and the site swept every night
- Counters templated after the cabinets are set, which adds a week of waiting but no surprises
- A walkthrough together before the last payment
Bathroom first?
If you're deciding between the two, most people start with the bathroom: it's faster, the price is clearer, and it's what I do most.
The kitchen can follow. Either way, it's one call and the same crew.
How the job runs
The order is the same on every kitchen; the number of days is on your quote.

Step 1
Demo
Old cabinets and counters out, the walls patched where they hung, plumbing capped under the window, the floor cleared.

Step 2
Cabinets set
The base cabinets leveled and shimmed along the wall, the sink base open, uppers hung to a line.

Step 3
Counters
The quartz slab set on the cabinets with suction cups, the seam placed at the sink, the edges taped.

Step 4
Backsplash and finish
Subway tile up the wall, the farmhouse sink and faucet connected, pulls on, paint and trim. Then the clean-up.
“Excellent bathroom and kitchen remodeling. Brad is very knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy. I would highly recommend his company to complete any of your home improvement projects! Reasonably priced. High quality work.”

Kitchen questions
Something else on your mind? Call or text (954) 242-5924.
How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Fort Lauderdale?
I don't publish a kitchen range, because cabinets alone can double the number. After a free visit you get a written, itemized fixed price, and it stays fixed. If you want a rough idea before I come, tell me the cabinet count and whether the layout changes.
Can you keep my cabinets and just do the counters and backsplash?
Yes. That refresh is the biggest look change per dollar: new counters, a tile backsplash, a sink, a faucet, lighting and paint, with the boxes you already have.
Do you move plumbing or electrical in a kitchen?
A licensed plumber and a licensed electrician do that part, on my schedule and under my eye.
How long will I be without a kitchen?
It depends on the scope, and the real number goes on your quote. Counters add about a week between template and install. I set up a temporary sink when the plumbing allows.
Do I buy the appliances?
Yes, and send me the spec sheets. I plan the cabinet openings to them and install them at the end.
Do you do kitchens in condos?
Yes. The association's insurance certificate, elevator reservation and work hours are built into the schedule, and the water shut-off is arranged with the building.
